- Approx. 180 underprivileged youth every year
Kinsmen Funding
Using part of our yearly donations, Kinsmen Club of Saskatoon provides funding for over 30 core schools to have track clubs at no cost to the participants! Kids are chosen by the school coordinator based on those who need it most! KCOS funding pays for:
- Coaches
- Field time
- Running Shoes (that the kids get to keep)
- Tee-Shirts
- Transportation to and from practices
- After school lunch (Subway Sandwich, Juice Box & Fruit)
Track Club Drills
The Kinsmen Track Club practices after school once per week from November to June. During the weekly meet, kids learn:
- Outdoor running
- Long Distance Running (endurance)
- Sprinting (interval training)
- High Jump
- Long Jump
- Other Summer Olympic Track Events
