Do you have questions about the Kinsmen Club of Saskatoon, our fundraising initiatives, and how we get involved in the community? Here is a list of the questions (and answers) that we most frequently get asked!

How can I donate to the Kinsmen Club of Saskatoon?

Our primary method of raising money is through our specific fundraising events. You do this by purchasing tickets for our Kinsmen Sports Celebrity Dinner, Kinsmen Home Lottery, & Kinsmen Car Awards.

If you are looking for a lump-sum donation, or something different from the events above, please contact our president.

Who can apply for funding through the Kinsmen Club of Saskatoon?

Any community based or non-profit organization can apply for funding. However, not all organizations are awarded funds.

How does the Kinsmen Club of Saskatoon decide which organizations to donate to?

After receiving requests from community organizations our board evaluates each request based on its merits. Our evaluation criteria includes, but is not limited to:

  • The worthiness of the ask
  • The financial history of the organization
  • What efforts have been made to raise funds outside of the Kinsmen Club
  • Criteria specific to the ask

How can I volunteer for the Kinsmen Club of Saskatoon?

You can join the Kinsmen by becoming a member. If you are interested in joining the Kinsmen Club of Saskatoon, please fill out our application form or reach out to an existing Kinsmen member.

How do I enter to win the Kinsmen Home Lottery?

Tickets for the Kinsmen Home Lottery are available mid-March until mid-June. There are three ways you can purchase these tickets:

When do you announce which athlete will be headlining the Kinsmen Sports Celebrity Dinner?

Our announcement date can change from year to year, but we generally announce in the month of October.

What is the Kinsmen Car Awards?

The car awards are a registered lottery with the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority where the public can purchase tickets for a chance to win a car. Tickets are sold at various car-related events and during the Saskatoon Exhibition held at Prairieland Park each year.

I have seen Kinsmen Plaques on the wall at my local community centre. How many facilities have the Kinsmen helped to build?

Kinsmen has helped with countless centres over 90+ years. To visit some of our most current locations, browse our community infrastructure.

Does the Kinsmen Club of Saskatoon offer scholarships?

Kinsmen Club of Saskatoon gives a yearly $1,000 scholarship through the Hal Rogers Endowment Fund.

What is the Kinsmen Inner City Hockey League? Is my child eligible to play?

The Kinsmen Inner City Hockey League is offered to students at select Community Elementary Schools in Saskatoon. To learn if your child is eligible, speak to your community coordinator at your child’s school.

Why isn’t Telemiracle listed as one of your major fundraising initiatives?

We are proud to have started Telemiracle in 1977, but it has grown to a provincial initiative warranting its own organization and structure.
