My name is Chris Smela, proud owner and founder of True North Financial Services, a division of Sun Life. I am passionate about helping families and small businesses build confidence in their financial future while leading an incredible team dedicated to outstanding service and trusted advice.
Outside of work, life revolves around family. I enjoy travelling with my wife and our kids whenever we get a chance. When I am not exploring somewhere new, you will usually find me playing chauffeur – driving the kids to their next social activity or sporting event.
I am thrilled to be a part of this event and look forward to bringing the community together in support of great cause.

Rodelle Genoway
Donate to Rodelle
Rodelle Genoway is the CEO of Hometown Homes. She spends her days managing budgets, schedules and creating operational efficiencies. Then she goes home… to none of those things.
Rodelle and her husband have 2 young kids, a dog and 5 farm cats that often make their way inside. In the middle of developing their own acreage, the family decided that living in their garage was a solid life choice while building their house that is still not 100% complete.
When Rodelle’s not running her business or chauffeuring kids to activities, she’s embracing construction chaos and defending her deep love of cats, cars, and questionable life decisions. She’s excited to support Kinsmen and promises to make you laugh with her… mostly at herself.
Alana Marjoram
Donate to Alana
Alana manages Aviation Logistics at Cameco Corporation and oversees the transportation of ~2,000 people per week to and from Cameco’s northern Saskatchewan operations.
For almost 30 years, she’s been getting paid for telling people where to go and how to get there!
When she’s not working, you’ll likely find her outdoors with her husband and their furbaby – boating, quadding, snowmobiling or fishing. Quick-witted and always armed with sarcasm, Alana loves using humour to lighten the moment and make people laugh and is delighted to be part of the 2026 Standup Showdown to support the Kinsmen Club of Saskatoon’s community initiatives.
Addison Bell
Donate to Addison
“Dad” to Harvey and “Addy” to the boys, Addison lives life with his foot flooring the gas pedal.
By day, he provides thoughtful, strategic guidance to his clients as a financial advisor with McFaull Financial.
By night, he keeps the group chat alive with questionable memes and unnecessary confidence.
He’s not strictly an introvert or an extrovert — he simply enjoys keeping people on their toes. Known for his creative streak and unconventional sense of humour, Addison has a talent for looking at life from a slightly different angle (sometimes whether people ask him to or not).
Outside of work, he draws a steady stream of comedy inspiration from Harv. In the pursuit of raising a capable, adventurous young man, Addison encourages resilience, independence, and at least mild supervision.
An active Kinsmen member since 2015, Addison has served on the Sports Celebrity Dinner Committee, chaired the 2022 Kinsmen Home Lottery, and held several roles on the Kinsmen Executive — building strong friendships and great stories along the way.
Last year, his sister-in-law Tate Bell took the stage at the inaugural Kinsmen Standup Showdown. Inspired by her bravery (and possibly poor judgment), Addison believes laughter truly is the best medicine — and he’s happy to write the prescription.
Scotty Taylor
Donate to Scotty
Scotty Taylor is the General Manager of Audi Saskatoon and previously worked with Porsche Centre Saskatchewan. With nearly two decades of leadership in the fast-paced automotive industry, Scotty focuses on delivering exceptional client experiences while building strong, motivated teams and helping every member reach their potential.
Outside of work, Scotty stays active with hockey, golf, snowboarding, and regular fitness. Much of his free time is spent coaching his three kids and shuttling them between hockey rinks, ball diamonds, football fields, and golf courses. He also loves travelling with his family and, when he finds a rare quiet moment, enjoys cooking and entertaining friends and family in his backyard.
Armed with a healthy dose of sarcasm and a strong sense of humor, Scotty uses laughter to survive the daily chaos of life. While this may be his first time trying stand-up comedy, he’s always believed that laughter brings people together. Scotty is excited to support the Kinsmen Club of Saskatoon and help raise money for the local community.
