The community of Hampton Village in Saskatoon was ecstatic when the announcement of a new P3 school was to be built in the neighbourhood in 2017. However, it was soon discovered that a playground for the students was not included in this build. Several eager parents spent countless hours fundraising over $130,000 for this much-needed playground. After contacting Marc Hoffort at The Kinsmen Club of Saskatoon, they graciously stepped in as a playground donation leader by giving $10,000 toward this initiative! The total fundraising goal was reached in just over a year with the support of community leaders like this. In 2019 the playground was built and students and community members are now able to enjoy the unstructured playtime daily!
